The Komodo Dragon, native to a few Indonesian islands, holds the title of the largest living lizard in the world. This formidable reptile is not only massive, often growing over 3 meters (10 feet) in length, but it is also venomous. Contrary to earlier beliefs that their bite was lethal due to bacteria, it is now known that the Komodo Dragon delivers venom through its bite. The venom contains toxins that lower blood pressure, cause shock, and prevent blood from clotting, leading to rapid blood loss. This potent venom, combined with the dragon's sharp teeth and powerful bite, makes the Komodo Dragon one of the most efficient predators in the animal kingdom.
